This post is to test how including music in a post works in wordpress. The song itself though, I really like all the same. It’s surprisingly, from an anime called ‘Bartender’ which centers around a homely bar in the trendiest part of Tokyo. The premise is that every so often someone would come into this bar and talk to the young bartender about a problem or dilemma they were facing in life, or a struggle with their own personal demons.
This super talented bartender would fix you a drink that would, through analogy to the history of the spirit or some other kind of logic, teach you an important lesson or help you find your way. I figured it really was a premise that was too off the wall to be dull. In actuality though, it fell short by over relying on lame anime convention, but it also had it’s unexpectedly grand and unexpectedly quiet sweeping moments too.
So I was thinking of putting up a real portfolio online of my illustration and web work. Right now I just have the ‘Projects‘ category thing, but it feels half assed. One other option is setting something up here that’s bespoke for the task - but I’m lazy. Another one, is setting up a behance profile - I’ve already got one, I just haven’t used it yet. Has any one used behance, cargo or any of those other web portfolio sites? How has your experience been, especially regarding the impression potential clients and others get from it?
I finally got that last roll of film developed (expired kodak portra 400nc if you care). It’s been living in my camera for the last couple months. But even with only 36 shoots I think I captured more, or something different and special, than I ever could or would’ve with 500 digital shots.

More later.
My Favourite shots from the last couple days out. I really should upload files off my camera more frequently to avoid these feeling like I just dropped a piano (of photos) onto your head:

Mousse Cakes at T&T that I really need to try

Cara at Super 7 (I should post more about this restaurant later.)

Skankilly dressed but creepily eyed Mannequins at PMall after hours

The penguin: some say he’s haunted, others say he likes addidas

Is she really playing? Maybe, but who can say for sure

Good luck dragons: I’m only guessing they’re for good luck. But I’m sure the odds are on my side thanks to my lucky dragon

Korean & Japanese Restaurant inside of PMall (top floor). Normally I’m wary of places that promote themselves as purveyors of multiple cuisine types. And in this case I was totally right - nice decor and decent presentation but the food itself is not so great.

Man running from (or to) the KILLZONE

House cat. I think if I had to choose I’d probably be more a cat person than a dog one. To me, dogs are just too loud and annoying most of the time and I like that cats do their own thing and just come back when they feel like it. Maybe that makes me an introvert?

I’m still getting used to this blog thing, and so far everything here is little more than a fancy mirror for stuff I already have up on my flickr. I’m trying out marsedit for more serendipitous written posting, as well as some other stuff I can’t quite recall right now. Eventually, I’ll get back in the groove though.

Some people say that doodling is a way to concentrate or an alternate way of paying attention and it’s becoming an increasingly popular view. I’m not sure if that’s true or not, but of course I’m not going to disagree with it because I’m too engrossed in my crappy doodling to pay attention to you.
Actually, I normally am really good with note taking and attendance and all that. I had to leave my computer at the Apple store for a hinge tightening and I just couldn’t get in the groove that day with paper and pen.
